5 Reasons you NEED THIS Grooming Kit – You Wont Believe What It Does!

A grooming kit is a grooming kit, right? WRONG!

 

Sure there are better quality ones, or ones for ponies, ones with softer hair brushes, ones with matching colors, or the more expensive lines.

Having had numerous grooming kits for numerous horses over almost 50 years (shhhhh don’t tell anyone!) I’ve seen them all.

 

Then a couple of years ago I was introduced to the KBF99 line by a student of mine who had purchased one body brush.

 

She was Canadian with a love for all things British, and as I am originally from the UK, she was proud to show me her new brush.

 

I had never heard of the make so later that day I Googled KBF99, started reading up about the grooming kit and was sold on it within minutes.

I don’t think I have ever bought a grooming kit so fast!

I have had mine for a couple of years now, I love it, and the likelihood of me owning another grooming kit is probably NEVER!

 

 

 

So why is the KBF99 grooming kit so AMAZING and why to you NEED to have it?

 

The KBF99 products were tested by Coventry University in the UK, and it was proven the KBF99 material assists in the PREVENTION of infection and REINFECTION of the following, killing at least 99% of the bacteria test culture:

 

1. Strangles – a nasty, highly contagious disease. Symptoms include: high fever, poor appetite, a think yellow nasal discharge, and enlarged lymph nodes between the jaw bone which can abscess. It can occasionally be fatal for the horse.

 

2. Ringworm – this is another highly contagious disease for horses. It shows as a nasty skin infection caused by a ‘skin loving’ fungus.  Horses develop scaly, hairless patches of skin that become sore and itchy if not treated.  Spores life in brushes and other grooming kit items for many months so are easily spread from horse to horse.

 

3. Coli – this is a bacteria usually found in the lower intestine of most mammals, most being harmless. However, some types can be passed on from horse to human causing serious stomach upsets..

 

4. Fusarium – this is a common fungus found in mouldy feed, releasing mycotoxins which are harmful to horses. These toxins can be inhaled or ingested, and can cause a variety of symptoms including neurological disease, showing itself through weakness, inability to eat, and death.  It can also develop respiratory disease, gastrointestinal upset and colic like symptoms in horses.

 

5. Equine Herpes Virus (EHV) – under laboratory conditions KBF99 technology was found to kill Herpes viruses and the company are confident KPF99 will kill the Equine Herpes virus on contact.

 

The above 5 things are what sold me on this product.

 

Strangles is a huge fear for all horse owners, not only is it a vicious infection, if a horse in a barn contracts it, the barn has to be shut down with no horses coming or going until it is given the all clear.  Additionally there is a huge amount of work that goes into the clean up of the barn and bio security to prevent the infection spreading out side to other locations.

 

Additionally, my stallion has very sensitive skin, he seems to get every skin fungus under the sun, and he rubbed his tail raw every summer so I wanted to try it to see how it worked with his sweet itch problems.

 

Regardless, the scientific back up for this product was enough for me to purchase it.  I was not disappointed.

 

Firstly the kit itself is very attractive and a really sharp grooming kit to own.

 

Secondly, it seems to be all they say it is.  My stallions skin reactions on his body seem to have disappeared, although it didn’t change his tail issue (to be fair they don’t mention anything about sweet itch, I just wondered if it might help with that!)

 

I LOVE the bucket brush they have and just using it gives me a sense of peace that his water bucket is infection free.

HOW does the technology work?

 

“KBF99 coats the surface of plastic with molecular strands (tiny spikes or swords).  It is also rich in Nitrogen molecules that carry a positive charge.  These attract the negatively charged membranes of Bacteria, Fungi, Algae and Mycotocins. The spikes rupture the membrane, killing the cell, which is then blown apart” (Source KBF99.co.uk)

 

Do I think it works? Absolutely!

 

It gives me peace of mind, it keeps my horses healthy, and it works!

 

So is a grooming kit just a grooming kit? Not in the case of KBF99.  I truly believe this is the most impressive grooming kit out there.

 

I use mine at least twice a day and it looks like it is brand new so the quality is there as far a longevity.

 

It is such an exciting and ground-breaking product in a grooming kit, I can’t think why anyone would want any grooming kit OTHER than KBF99.
